National CCUS Mission ("NCM") is the data controller for personal data collected through the Website and in the course of Advisory Services engagements. NCM's registered office is in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
Contact and enquiry data: When you contact NCM through the Website, by email, or by telephone, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, organisation, and the content of your enquiry. This data is used to respond to your enquiry and, with your consent, to maintain a relationship with you as a potential client or collaborator.
Client engagement data: When you engage NCM's Advisory Services, we collect professional information including your name, title, organisation, contact details, and information about your organisation's operations necessary to deliver the advisory service. This data is held in confidence in accordance with the Terms and Conditions and used solely for service delivery.
Website usage data: We collect anonymised website analytics (page views, session duration, referral sources) through Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled. This data does not identify individual users and is used to improve Website content and performance.
Communications data: NCM sends a monthly Knowledge Hub newsletter to subscribers who have specifically opted in. Subscription email addresses are held securely and used solely for newsletter distribution. Unsubscribe links are provided in every newsletter.
NCM processes personal data on the following legal bases: (a) Legitimate interest β for responding to enquiries and maintaining business relationships with clients and stakeholders; (b) Contract performance β for processing data necessary to deliver Advisory Services under engagement letters; (c) Consent β for newsletter subscriptions and any marketing communications; (d) Legal obligation β for compliance with applicable Indian law.
NCM does not sell, rent, or trade personal data. NCM may share personal data with: (a) specialist sub-advisers and collaborators engaged on specific client projects, under appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations; (b) IT service providers who support Website operation and NCM's business systems, under data processing agreements; (c) regulatory and law enforcement authorities, where required by applicable law.
NCM's knowledge exchange partners β including organisations in Australia, Norway, UK, Netherlands, Germany, and Denmark β may receive anonymised, aggregated data for research purposes. No identifiable personal data is shared with international partners without explicit consent.
Enquiry and contact data: Retained for 3 years from last contact, then deleted unless the relationship has progressed to a client engagement.
Client engagement data: Retained for 7 years from the end of the engagement in accordance with Indian commercial record-keeping requirements, then deleted or anonymised.
Newsletter subscriber data: Retained until the subscriber unsubscribes, and then deleted within 30 days.
Website analytics data: Retained for 26 months in anonymised, aggregated form.
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to: access the personal data NCM holds about you; correct inaccurate personal data; request erasure of personal data where NCM no longer has a lawful basis for processing it; withdraw consent for processing based on consent; nominate a person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity; and raise a complaint with India's Data Protection Board if you believe NCM has mishandled your personal data.

NCM implements technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of personal data processed β including encrypted storage, access controls, and regular security reviews. NCM's cloud infrastructure is hosted on Indian or EU data centres with appropriate security certifications.
In the event of a personal data breach affecting your rights and freedoms, NCM will notify you and, where required, India's Data Protection Board, within the timeframes specified by the DPDPA 2023.
The NCM Website uses essential cookies (required for Website functionality), analytics cookies (Google Analytics with IP anonymisation β anonymised; no personal data collected), and preference cookies (to remember your language and display preferences). No advertising or tracking cookies are used. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling analytics cookies does not affect Website functionality.
NCM may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in law or our data processing activities. Material changes will be notified via a Website notice. The "last updated" date at the top of this Policy reflects the most recent revision.
